Workpackage Leader Project Manager

25 bIoTope researchers worked together 2 full days at the EPFL campus in Lausanne preparing the use case demonstrators of the project.

 First working results of these use cases for smart mobility, smart waste management and other where discussed and demonstrated as well as the IoT B&B platform and OMI/ODF tools.  Overall all elements of the bIoTope toolbox where on the agenda as a general rehearsal for the first period review happening in August and September.

Open Call Published

The bIoTope project has published the first Open Call inviting organisations from outside of the consortium to join the project and contribute to the evolution of the bIoTope ecosystems.

Aalto University researchers Anssi Smedlund, Petra Turkama and Heini Ikävalko presented a paper: Framework for Firm Strategies in Open Internet of Things Ecosystems at the World Open Innovation Conference in Barcelona, 9-10 December 2016.

bIoTope completes first EC Technical Review

The bIoTope project undertook a detailed Technical Review with the European Commission (EC) representatives hosted by Siemens in Vienna. External experts were organised by the EC to provide guidance and recommendations concerning the project development work and planned smart city pilots and ecosystems.
